How we treat it
Dr. Samir checks your vision, eyelid closure, eye movements and the orbit, and whether the disease is active. The plan may be monitoring, treatment, or care shared with your thyroid doctor.
Meet Dr. Samir Serasiya and read about his qualifications.
What to expect
Before the visit
Bring your thyroid reports, prescriptions and any scans.
Examination
Dr. Samir checks the eyes and explains whether the disease is active or settled.
Follow-up
Eye and thyroid care are watched side by side. Tell us quickly if your vision drops or colours look dull.
Common questions
Does every thyroid problem affect the eyes?
No. But eye symptoms need an eye check, even if your blood tests are normal.
Will treating my thyroid fix my eyes?
Not always. Some people need separate care for their eyes.
When is it urgent?
Sudden pain, reduced vision or colours that look faded. Get your eyes checked promptly.
Does smoking matter?
Yes. Smoking can make thyroid eye disease worse. Ask us for help to stop.
