Common questions
Does a bulging eye always mean thyroid disease?
No. Several orbital conditions can change the position of the eye. Examination and tests find the cause.
Is a newly bulging eye urgent?
It can be. Get checked promptly, especially if it is sudden, painful or your vision drops.
Should I get a new scan before my first visit?
No. Bring your existing scans and reports. Dr. Samir decides if anything more is needed.
Does an orbital problem always need surgery?
No. Not every orbital problem needs an operation.
Is an orbital problem the same as a retina problem?
No. The orbit is the socket around the eye; the retina is the layer inside the eye.
Sudden loss of vision, a curtain over your sight, severe pain or an eye injury: get urgent eye care.
